ASSAULT ON ILLITERACY
This Programmatic Thrust is centered on Southern Crescent’s commitment to fostering strong relationships with schools in our service area. We have proudly partnered with Community Christian School and Mary Agnes Jones STEAM Elementary School, working alongside the esteemed gentlemen of St. James Masonic Lodge #4.
This two-year collaboration has made a profound impact, strengthening literacy initiatives and ensuring greater educational support for students in need.
SENIOR CITIZENS
Serving Golden Crest Seniors – Our chapter is committed to honoring and supporting senior citizens who may lack the energy, physical stamina, or resources to maintain their independence.
Our goal is to bring joy and fulfillment to their daily lives by providing companionship, activities, and essential support—ensuring they feel valued and appreciated in their golden years.
COMMUNITY SERVICE
Our chapter encourages members to be actively engaged in community service initiatives that uplift and empower those in need. Through hands-on projects and collaborative efforts, we strive to make a lasting difference in the communities we serve.
YOUTH AND YOUNG ADULTS
We are dedicated to empowering young people to maintain high moral, ethical, and scholastic standards. This is achieved through:
- Scholarships to support educational aspirations
- Guidance and mentorship programs
- Cultural experiences that broaden perspectives
- Other essential resources to help youth pursue their goals
Through these efforts, we aim to inspire, guide, and equip the next generation for success.
POLITICAL AWARENESS
One of Southern Crescent’s greatest accomplishments has been increasing voter participation in our communities.
Through awareness campaigns, voter education initiatives, and civic engagement programs, we mobilize individuals to exercise their right to vote—ensuring every voice is heard at the polls
STATUS OF WOMEN
This initiative empowers women to excel in their chosen careers by advocating for:
- Equal employment opportunities
- Recognition of women’s contributions in various fields
- Increased awareness of health and wellness issues
We encourage women to enhance the quality of their lives by pursuing personal and professional growth while advocating for policies that promote gender equity.
